Connor Quinn

CAGE Lab

Hi everyone! My name is Connor. This semester, I began listening more closely to the sounds around me. At first, the sounds of the city and the sounds of nature felt completely separate. But through recording, I started to notice how often they overlap and exist together. Birds, wind, footsteps, conversations, and distant machines all become part of the same environment.

What interested me most was not the contrast between nature and the city, but the way they continuously shape each other. Nature is still present inside human spaces, and human activity becomes part of the natural soundscape as well.

This project captures those shared moments where urban and natural sounds blend together and create one connected atmosphere.

Thank you for listening.

Special Thanks!

A special thank you to my professor and classmates for spending this semester with me. Through this class, we listened, explored, recorded, and experienced these moments together. This project is not just about sound, it also about the memories and connections we created along the way.
