                                                                                                  ***

sound-recording    as an artform  informs   a     distinctive     approach to understanding     urban and rural     society that is extremeley     observational—it requires     one to be quiet, engaging of     the senses, and organic     encounters of space based     on one’s physical     movement within it.

recording sound has prompted me to seek
an understanding of place that is directly rooted in lived experience.

with this project i was never “looking” for anything beyond simply a good conversation.

it prompted me to seek something deeper, something that could only be exposed through careful listening, intentional prompting, and natural curiosity.
